I just came back from a very nice dinner with Andrew and his friend Nevin. It always feels nice to reconnect with old friends. Lots of good laughs and good stories. The burger I had was incredibly tasty.
It's good to be home. Something about the warm smell, the familiar lighting. Even the New York humidity feels happy and welcoming. I had a delicious calzone at my local pizzeria, and then relaxed at my apartment most of the day. Jet lag works so nicely in this direction too. It's true that I'm ready to go to sleep already at 9:40 PM, but that means I'll be up at the crack of dawn tomorrow. I'm hoping to get a lot done this coming week.
On the flight this way, I finally got to watch Harry Potter 7 in its glorious entirety. Pure, unadulterated, delicious entertainment. I don't think flights are the best place to watch more highbrow films, but they are certainly excellent for blockbusters. The tiny screen makes it hard to appreciate the artistic values of a film, but easy to appreciate the action!
I'm also finally adding my Alps photos to Facebook and to my Polset blog post!
